It’s back: the 2015 Tasmanian White Wine Weekend

Princes Wharf No 1 – 7 & 8 November 2015

This year’s Tasmanian White Wine Weekend is shaping up to be an unmissable event on wine lovers’ calendars. With a fresh new layout and some fabulous presenters, it’s a great excuse to get your tasting boots on and head down to Princes Wharf No. 1 and experience some of Tasmania’s best wines.

The weekend brings together more than 20 Tasmanian wine producers, offering tastings of more than 70 wines, including sparkling, riesling, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot gris and grigio, rose’ and dessert wines that are available for both tasting and purchase.

The weekend features workshops that are designed to meet the needs of wine buffs and novices alike.  From connoisseurs, looking to develop their palates, or people just after some handy wine and food matching hints, the workshops and masterclasses offer insights and information in an informal and enjoyable atmosphere.

This year’s presenters are:

  • Jeni Port, wine author, judge and columnist at The Age, Sydney Morning Herald and Winestate
  • Mary McNeill, owner of the award winning food tour Gourmania
  • Tasmanian’s ‘Bubbles Queen’ Natalie Fryar.

How does Tasmanian Sparkling compare to French Champagne? Decide for yourself with tastings of 8 Premium Tasmanian Sparkling and 3 benchmark French Champagnes.

Chardonnay was once the King of the Whites, is it back on top?  Taste 8 top Tasmanian chardonnays with 4 benchmark Chardonnays from around the world, including Burgundy.
