There have been some big changes at the Coal Valley Vineyard Cellar Door in recent times.
Owners Gill and Todd have retaken the reigns of their venue and are now operating with an enthusiastic new team and a fresh new menu within their uniquely charming cellar door.
In addition to the wonderful wines available for tasting and purchase, chef Paul, inspired by the rustic, homely food Gill loves, has created a beautiful menu using locally sourced ingredients where possible.
Selections include a rustic herb & spinach pie with dressed greens, or for a bigger meal try the bespoke Coal Valley Beef Burger with local Wicked cheddar cheese, salad leaves and house-made relish.
Of course all the food will pair perfectly with Coal Valley Vineyard’s wines, so ask for suggestions or simply enjoy with your favourite drop.
Also on offer are locally roasted coffees expertly prepared by an experienced barista and freshly brewed leaf tea, served to you in a pot.
Visitors will have good reason to stay and enjoy the panoramic views, wonderful food, warm hospitality and fine Coal Valley wines.
For those interested in taking their visit a little further, vineyard tours can be arranged for a guided look at where the fruit comes from, how the vineyards are managed and find out about the process the fruit takes from vine to vintage.
The cellar door will be open 11am to 5pm seven days a week offering tastings of the Coal Valley Vineyard wines and lunch all day.
